Friends Membership

Friends membership is a great way of enjoying Almond Valley again and again. If you're looking for a more flexible type of season ticket in which you don't need to specify the names of those using it, take a look at our Corporate Membership option.

Lending a Hand

Volunteers have always contributed a great deal to activities at Almond Valley. Unfortunately our capacity to accept new volunteers for farm operation is fairly limited and is normally reserved for those with a background knowledge seeking specific work experience, for example as part of a veterinary science course

We always welcome new volunteers to train from railway operation.

Enjoy unlimited admission to Almond Valley throughout the year by joining the Friends of Almond Valley. Friends members also receive regular newsletters, invitations to social events and working parties, volunteering for regular duties and helping out in many other ways.

Membership costs £20 per year per adult, with a family ticket covering two named adults and up to four named children costing only £60 per year.

Conditions of use:

Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of issue

Membership is non-transferable: it provides admission only for those people named on the card.

The membership card provides admission to Almond Valley during normal opening hours, but does not cover rides, Morag's Meadow play area or other additional features that are not included in the standard admission price.

The membership card must be shown on every occasion. Members will be refused admission without it.

Lost cards can be replaced, or alterations made to the persons named on the card, at a cost of £5.

A card will be issued to each adult covered by a family membership, allowing either parent to visit with the children. If both adults visit, both cards must be shown

We reserve the right to suspend admission rights if the membership card has been misused, (eg. by lending it to a relative or friend !)

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Young Volunteers

Young Farmer’s club runs activity sessions at weekends in which children and families can lend a hand caring for animals and help with maintenance around the farm. You have to be a member of the Friends to join the Young Farmers (ie children have to be named on a family Friends membership card).
