almond valley; a fun-packed day of discovery

West Lothian's Environment Fair

For the last three years, Almond Valley has hosted West Lothian's Environment Fair, two days of fun and discovery organised by the West Lothian Environmental Support Group with grant assistance from Scottish Natural Heritage and West Lothian Council
Here's some images of a sunny afternoon in September 2005.....
first thing in the morning visitors start arriving sculptures from junk in the mill basement rubbish art
geology felt making skyscrapers mosaic listen to the band
rubbish butterflies archaeology pentland rangers leaf factory woodland trust
samba workshop parade by the mill final parade the birdy dance boogie on down
and a foggy Monday morning when more than 500 local primary school pupils took over:
wildlife garden and hedge planting in the garden recycled windbreak rubbish games in the field
