Our
narrow-gauge railway runs about 500m from Livingston Mill to Almondhaugh
halt, beside the weir on the river Almond. Trains are worked by
a range of elderly 760mm gauge diesel locomotives collected from
various army depots and munitions factories.The railway is operated
by volunteers
Trains
services run every Saturday and Sunday from Easter until September,
daily during the local school summer holidays, and at some other
holiday periods. Return trips on the railway cost £1.00 per
person. |
