Fantastic! I wish I had visited years ago. We went as a group with kids aged 4-12 and all of them loved it.
Loads of covered picnic spots for hot or wet days.
Cafe was lovely, loads of food and very tasty.
The tractor and train ride were great fun and the staff were brilliant and really friendly.
The play areas were absolutely brilliant. Kids had a ball and the information about the history of the area was great for us adults.
The animals were cute and we wandered past them while the kids ran around, there is so much space for wee ones to run and explore.
The mill was interesting and really well signed with information on what everything did and how it worked.
We also found an archaeology dig site which the kids loved and it gave us a bit of relief from the sun.
I loved the wartime garden, it was really interesting and sitting in the bomb shelter was something different.
We ended up running out of time and missed the museum at the entrance but I will be back for a look soon.
Lots of seats including ones under cover dotted all over. Also water fountains for refilling water bottles are dotted around.
Overall a really value for money day out. I would recommend Almond Valley for families, the friendly staff and ability to let the kids run and have fun is worth every penny.

Visited with my daughter (11), niece (5) and nephews (4,nearly 2). It was perfect for the little ones but my daughter was a little bored, mainly as most kids there were a lot younger and she felt awkward playing on things with them.

The park is well designed for sun and rain with the indoor play barn, sand pit and outdoor playground covered meaning you get a break from the elements. There is also an outside forest play park with natural cover from the trees.

It is value for money as, once in, you don't have to pay for anything. We took a picnic with us and there is enough seats etc, again covered which was great as it was a very hot day.

We stayed from 11am until closing. The kids loved the sandpit and the little karts the most.

The main issue is lack of toilets and no where to fill up water bottles on a hot day. They could do with installing portaloos near the main park or at least warning you that there are only two sets of toilets and it's a 15 mins walk with little ones to get back from end of park to the toilet!

Loved the pedal carts and inground trampolines, just a great place to let the kids be themselves. Beautiful buildings, and very clean and well kept

We usually come here on a Friday. The kids love it. It's very relaxing here and they enjoy the soft play if it's raining. They are also interested in the animals, historical settings and play together in the outside areas.

A great place for a trip with kids. There's a restaurant and restrooms on site. I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back.
We had a wonderful birthday party at Almond Valley Heritage Centre. We chose the adventure package with hot food. Kids enjoyed the jumping pillow, various animals, the tractor ride and the food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, the experience was fabulous.

I’ve been going to “mill farm” since I was a wee girl and now me and my own kids get to share happy memories here. We have season passes which are so worth it as we come all the time. Sun, rain or snow! There is so much to do, from inside, to outside. Animals, museum, cafe, train ride, soft play, outdoor parks etc. We never get bored of coming here. The reception staff always greet with a warm welcome. This years Santa and elf were 10/10! The elf was so friendly, cheery and just a lovely elf. And the Santa, he was so real that at the age of 35, I’m a believer! The only thing I’d like to request is more hard hats for the mine as both of my kids like to wear one and there has only ever been one hard hat the last few times we hav visited so to save fights another one would be fab 😄

We had an absolutely fabulous party at Almond Valley for my wee boy turning 5 years old! Guests ranged from 2 to 7 years and all loved it! The hot food was excellent with veggie sticks and fruit on offer, too. The party room was beautifully decorated and we took our own wall-hanging, speaker and disco lights as well. We did the small animal experience which was a nice extra, but if the cost adds a bit much, don't be put off as there is so much else to do! The kids loved the tractor ride (included) and train ride (£2/guest). We got fairly lucky with the weather for December but even if it had rained all day, there were loads of indoor things to do (although I'd recommend waterproofs and wellies if damp so the kids can use all of the outdoor stuff). I feel that we hardly scratched the surface of the play things on offer! Staff did a great job of organising the party and made it all easy. Highly recommended - brilliant value and the kids and grown ups alike were impressed! Thank you!

A full family day out! Activities for all ages in the place. Mining museum to catch a glimpse of history in the area. Animal encounters (we got to pet the chick's, guinea pigs and polecat). Outdoor adventures with a new fort on offer to climb and slide. Jumping pillows, excavation sand pit and go-karts to name a few. Great value for money and reasonable priced drinks and snack at the outdoor snack van too.

Great experience and fun day out for kids and adults. We went with a couple of friends, for a total of 4 adults and 3 girls. The price is worth every penny because the park is full of surprises and cute animals and there are also so many different activities. The girls were extremely excited and loved the attactions and the train ride. We def gonna be back soon!

Better than expected. Reasonable priced cafe as well £5 for a toasties bit more if you add chips. Also £2 per person for train ride and £1 per person for the tractor. Everyone was friendly and the day we had was 20 degrees. Wonderful day! Was a nursery trip.
