The Festival of Myths & Legends
Dates:
Join us this summer for a magical, imaginative and enchanting exploration of folklore, fantasy and dragons!
From Monday 13 – Friday 17 July, the Festival of Myths & Legends will celebrate powerful tales and folklore exploring their connections with Scottish cultural and historic identity. A series of walkabouts, storytelling sessions and encounters with giant dragons and small hatchlings will bring ancient legends to life – join us to meet our majestic dragon friends and create original stories of your own.
Award-winning educators Teach Rex will lead the promenade shows and dragon encounters. Teach Rex are Samuel Bryan and Joseph Parsonage, experienced teachers who now specialise in interactive workshops for children with dinosaurs, dragons and animals. Dragon Song Productions’ Rachel Huggins will be sharing enchanting storytelling sessions from Kipper the Sea Dragon, who journeys through the ocean to find out where the colours have gone, and Bertie the Moon Dragon, whose job is to wake the moon each night.
In partnership with these creative and imaginative performers, we will create a world of majestic dragons, legendary discoveries and fantastical myths for your whole family to explore.
Admission to the Festival of Myths & Legends is included in site entrance, so just book for a day from Monday 13 July – Friday 17 July and immerse yourself in a creative, playful and otherworldly adventure with us.
