5,706 of you came to the site last week to experience the joy, magic and creativity of the Festival of Myths & Legends!

We’ve been expanding our activities at Almond Valley so that we can deepen the engagement, excitement and experience for our visitors – so its been truly wonderful to meet so many of you on site and hear how much you enjoyed the festival.

This is just the beginning of our 2026 events programme so keep your eyes peeled for more interactive and inspirational events coming soon!

Storyteller Rachel Huggins has a beautiful dragon draped across her shoulders.

Our amazing performers – Teach REX and Dragon Song Productions – brought dragons to life to the delight of audiences of all ages.

“The dragon event has been absolutely amazing, we loved it so much we had to come twice! My 3 year old loves the arts and crafts, so engaging and he was so happy to make his own dragons. All staff have been so good with him and very helpful. Thank you for making our holidays more fun and exciting.”

We hosted walkabouts, storytelling sessions and encounters with giant dragons and teeny hatchlings as part of our new summer programme.

“A wonderful festival with multiple engaging activities. Staff were friendly and engaged children well. We were here for a full day and could easily have been here longer.”

“We have had an amazing day. So much for children and adults to see and do. Thank you. Will definitely be back soon.”
